Today I'm sharing part two of our Austin shoot! (See part one here.) For the second backdrop, we chose this rocky, cliff-like setting, which was easier to scale in heels than I had anticipated. I love any chance to engage with nature, and this shoot provided the perfect opportunity to do just that, while also getting a few nice pictures out of the deal. Win-win! I also took some time between shots to gather up some seashells to take home. I love collecting little momentos of a memory, especially in the form of something natural likes rocks, shells, or flowers. It's just a lovely way to remember something special. (See this post with stones from a trip to Pebble Beach displayed in a pretty jade bowl).
The wind in this location was just amazing! It added so much movement and life to all the photos. I especially love the way the wind moved this dress, and how the light filtered so beautifully through the sheer layer. The slight metallic element of the shoes really gleamed in the sunlight, so overall it was the perfect outfit for this setting. Right as we were ready to pack up our things and head home, we caught a glimpse of the beautiful sunset lighting and figured it couldn't hurt to snap a few more pictures...
There was such a sense of adventure to this shoot, and I so enjoyed spending time in nature with my sister. The cornflower blue Texas skies, arid climate, and golden sunlight created the perfect backdrop for the airy clothes. I had such a wonderful time in Austin, and really hope to visit again sometime soon!
